First of all, welcome to the ultimate destination of all the epic stories of lucklessness and #facepalm. I'm the awesome yet the unluck-striken character, who dreams on conquering the world someday.
Some of you must've heard of the famous 1970's Bollywood film, 'Kati Patang' starring Rajesh Khanna. One of it's famous songs once happened to catch my attention due to it's strong resemblance to my life which is why the film kind of stayed for long in my mind. The dialogue goes like this -
"Na koi umang hai, na koi tarang hai, meri zindagi hai kya, ek Kati Patang hai."
The lyrics mean that "there's no happiness, or joy, in my unfortunate life..". However painful and heart-breaking the song might be, it always left me amused as I could literally relate it to me. Half of my day's stories end up in a sad yet comic note. On narrating the incidents to any of my circles, I framed up my own category of incidents and this is how the Kati Patang term came into our lingo.
That's it. Enough said. Just drag up your tiny little cursor now and visit the page of epic madness!
